Of the 20 books on the list I own 0 (or maybe 1)
Of the 20 book in the list the library had 1 on the shelf
Of the 20 books on the list I am waiting for 10 to be returned, presumably by the same person since they all have the same return date.
Of the 20 books on the list that I nor the library have, I am trying to figure out if I borrow or buy the other 9

13 more things to think about:
Kindergarten reading list, are you kidding me? Personally, I wouldn't worry too much about it. But I do have a couple copies of Corduroy should you be interested!
Shoot!!!
Hmmm..I've heard of Corduroy but I've never read the book, pretty sure I watched it on TV. I'm guessing I don't have any of the other books on the list at home either.
And this is why you're such a good mom. I'm pretty sure Hailey gets a reading list for summer...pretty sure...
Holy Cow! What ever happened to packing the kids up in the car, giving them each a grocery bag, and letting them shove as many books in those bags as they could comfortably carry? I used to just let the kids have at it in the library. Little did I know. But seriously, I'm just not sure I want my three year old reading a book entitled, "The Wildest Brother." I'd be too afraid he would relate to the character in the book and decide to fulfill the prophecy! Please excuse the ranting! I'm just not sure ANY Clifford book should be considered "must read" literature. Jeesh... I think I need a relaxing bath and a Snickers bar. Sorry.
I have the Corduroy book and the 1,2,3, Zoo. You are welcome to them.
I think I mught have Little Quack too. I'll check and let you know.
This sounds ridiculous to me. A summer reading list! I am totally for reading, totally!! But is it really necessary that a kindergartner has to read these 20 specific books? I commend you for trying to find them and read them. I am sure as many of these books as you can read will be great, because they are all probably great books, but I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. I doubt there willl be a pop quiz on day one of Kindergarten. Also, I don't have any of these books, sorry, or I'd let you borrow one
Um.... snickers and a bath sounds good to me too.
Summer reading lists for kindergarten??? I had no idea; seems a litle premature. However, Gretchy has tons of books if you'd like to check out from her library....clifford, courdory, and who knows what other fun! And I agree about 1 person checking out all the good ones, all of the 6th grade reading list books were M.I.A.
I have a couple of these books, but not the ones you need!
Wait until you get to the reading list for 7th grade...they actually recommend a couple of Michael Crichton books (Congo, Andromeda Strain), as well as a book about mating pigs. Really!! Needless to say, I am not stressing about the reading list this summer...and you shouldn't either! :)
I have Corduroy if you need to borrow it. Oh wait, not asterisked. Nevermind!
