My big girl, who was just my baby not too long ago, graduated from preschool. There are those glimpses in parenthood that emphasize how fleeting this period of time will be. The day in and day out routines, schedules, chores and drudgery are swept away by a mere moment.

I will blink and we will be doing this all over again, from elementary school, middle school, high school, and college.
And when the last round of Pomp and Circumstance has played you will no longer sit in my lap but you will still be my big girl who, not too long ago, was my baby.

Isn't preschool graduation such an emotional time for a mommy? I am not looking forward to Landon's. Once they are off to kindergarten it seems like they grow up way too quickly!
Actually, I INSIST you have Zoey sit in your lap when she graduates from college. I think each graduation for her should....nay MUST be commemorated with a picture of her sitting on your lap. Especially when she finishes Middle School.

Congratulations to Zoey...and to you! I cried like a fool at Quinn's fifth grade graduation...I can only imagine my reaction to high school and college ceremonies!

I almost cried at that first primary graduation...I felt like she was slipping through my fingers...and now, she'll be in her last grade of elementary school.
It's a good thing I am having another baby to keep me from thinking that I am going to be an empty nester before I know it.
